Make Your Voice Count for Child Care in Kansas
Complete the 2026 Child Care Market Rate Survey.
The survey opened on June 1st 2026 and you have until June 29th at 11:59 pm CT to complete it.
This study brings together information from licensed child care providers across the state to better understand:
- Current prices and cost of providing quality child care services in your community
- Costs of providing care for children with special needs and alternative hour care
- Costs of participation in Links to Quality and professional development
- How do those costs compare to current DCF Child Care Assistance payment rates
Led by the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) and the Kansas Office of Early Childhood (KOEC), with support from Public Consulting Group (PCG), this effort will inform child care payment rates and child care policy decisions that affect providers, families, and communities across the state.

- Compare today’s DCF payment rates with what it costs to deliver quality child care
